Peter A. Rinfret
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Peter is the Co-Founder and CEO of Iris. His global experience in the telecom and technology fields includes as a founder, CFO and Board Member of Chase Telecommunications (acquired by Qualcomm and now Leap Wireless); advised CellularVision, an LMDS provider, from inception through its initial public offering (when he was also the Acting CFO and Board Member); part of the startup team and CFO for Pontio Communications (sold to El Paso Energy). As President of Rinfret & Co he has advised companies such as Bell Atlantic/Verizon, Phillips Electronics NA, Kinray and USA Mobility as well as dozens of growth and venture stage companies. Early in his career, Peter served as President of Rinfret Associates, an international economic and financial advisory firm, where he advised Fortune 300 clients such as Chrysler, Revlon, Technicolor, and Citibank His political experience includes serving in the White House as Special Assistant to Ambassador Robert Strauss, Legislative Aide for Foreign Affairs to Senator Orrin Hatch, Special Assistant to the National Campaign Manager for John Connally’s Presidential campaign and Legislative Aide for Tax Policy to Congressman William Archer, Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee. Peter received a B.A. in International Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was an editor of the Texas Law Review.

Steven is founder and a Senior Principal, Member of Centripetal Capital Partners, LLC., a private equity investment firm. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of Alpha Financial Technologies, LLC and a partner in Enhanced Alpha Management, a creator of alternative asset management products and structured instruments. He is also Founder and President of SGC Advisory Services, Inc. a financial services company. In addition, he co-founded WinStar Communications in 1994 and served as its Vice Chairman. Steven began his career in 1970 at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., a financial institution that handled more than $88 billion in client assets at its peak and is currently a part of Alliance Capital, an AXA company. He became a partner in 1976 and served as its Director of Technology Research. While at Bernstein, he ranked in the top tier of analysts each year for more than a decade (including a first-place ranking in his sector for five consecutive years), as ranked by Institutional Investor. He has testified before Congress on various regulatory matters. He has been on the Board of Directors of a number of private and public companies, has served as Chairman of ALTS, the industry association of local carriers. He has also served as a featured lecturer at the Harvard Business School. Steven is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Rick has been a Director of the company since April 2001, pursuant to the investment made in Iris by Pacificap Ventures, a private investment fund primarily involved in technology and communications. Rick is currently a Partner with Pacificap. Previously he worked with Morgan Stanley, was a Vice President for King Street Capital Management, and worked at Jones Lang LaSalle.

Mr. Sweetbaum is Managing Director of PS Capital LLC. He is also a non-executive director and member of the Investment Committee of Accelerator Technology Holdings, a hi-tech VC based in Amman, Jordan; a member of the Board of Directors of IRIS Wireless, LLC, a provider of mobile platforms to carriers across the globe; and a Director of Law Finance Group Holdings Limited, a provider of law related finance for individuals, corporations and law firms. In 2007, Mr. Sweetbaum founded the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR - www.icsr.info), an NGO established to counter the growing global threat from violent extremism. He currently serves as ICSR’s Chairman. Mr. Sweetbaum has served on various Boards at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, including the Board of Overseers. He has guest lectured at Wharton and other Universities, and he is a member of the Board of the SEI Center for Advanced Studies in Management. He is also a member of the Inovent Advisory Board, which is affiliated with Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey. Mr. Sweetbaum is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute and a Companion of the British Institute of Management. Mr Sweetbaum was Chairman of Wickes International Corporation from 1982-1986, and in that capacity served as one of executive team that successfully led Wickes through the then largest non-railroad reorganisation in American history. He has engineered turnarounds and achieved financial growth for private and public companies in the US, UK and Asia, including Data Recording Instrument Company, a British Government owned computer peripherals manufacturer which Mr. Sweetbaum chaired for 6 years. From 1998 - 2005, Mr. Sweetbaum led the M&A program that drove the growth of Techtronic Industries Limited, a Hong Kong public company, from $300 million to $3 billion.

Mr. Morgan is the President and CEO of Applied Science, Inc., (“ASI”) a leader in the design, development and manufacture of integrated solutions for the global whole blood collection solutions. The company’s flagship product is the HemoFlow 400 blood monitor and mixer. ASI’s customers include: American Red Cross, United Blood Services, New York Blood Center and the National Health Service in the United Kingdom; all of whom are major purchasers of the Company’s whole blood collection devices. Mr. Morgan is also the founder and managing partner at Rostrevor Partners, LLC, (“Rostrevor”) a strategic consulting company which provides services to early stage growth companies. Rostrevor is the principal investor in ASI. Prior to his current role at ASI, Mr. Morgan has built and managed businesses in a variety of industries. He was a founder, and the President and CEO, at PingDa Travel, a company organized to undertake a major roll up in the corporate travel industry in Greater China. He was the President and CEO of First Virtual Communications a company which developed highly scalable and secure, enterprise class, rich media communications solutions. The company’s largest customer was the United States Department of Defense. Mr. Morgan started his business career as an investment banker. Over the course of 25 years in the industry he worked at a number of firms and had the following positions: Worldwide Head of the Technology Group at Prudential Securities; Founding Partner and Managing Director of the mergers and acquisitions business at Montgomery Securities; and was a member of Morgan Stanley’s mergers and acquisitions department. Mr. Morgan is a director of Corticon Technologies, a leader in business rules management solutions; Chairman and a founder of Plus3 Networks, a pioneer in the use of social media to develop corporate wellness applications; a director on the strategic advisory board at Bishop Wisecarver, a leader in the development and engineering of motion technology solutions. He is a member of the MedStart CEO Forum in Sacramento and the Alliance of Chief Executives. He received his HBA from The School of Business Administration at The University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada and was a member of the Dean’s Honour’s List.
